My sweet parents saved me from my vacation prep stress yesterday, took the kids to thier house. They are always generous with the kids, let them bring home all kinds of treasures from clothes and toys and boxes of food to lizards, jars of dirt...so granny lectured them that they wouldn't be taking ANYTHING home this time because we were trying to get organized and pack. After awhile, Joy came in and said, "granny, I know you said we can't take anything home, but I really think my mom needs this." My mom wholeheartedly agreed and so Joy brought me, in a gift bag, a margarita (bottle of Bartles and James margarita wine cooler). She was very proud of herself and didn't understand why I didn't want it in lieu of coffee this morning!
